Zaxby’s is, a quick service restaurant chain, founded on Athens, Georgia, the main campus of the University of Georgia. Recently the chain has surpassed the Dunkin Donuts chain in the number of times its app has been downloaded. In fact, it has moved up two places which means it is the fastest growing quick service restaurant chain in the nation at this time.
During this period of awesome growth Zaxby’s has done what few chain food service companies have done. While most companies such as Dunkin and Starbucks have devalued their rewards program, Zaxby’s has done just the opposite. It has made their program easier to use, and easier to redeem points for food and discounts. In addition, they have added an extremely attractive (and delicious) gift for downloading their app.
When a customer begins to be a member of the rewards program, the company will give them the free gift of a Big Zax Snak meal, which consists of three Chicken Fingerz (yes, that’s how they spell it!), Texas Toast with Zax sauce, crinkle style French fries and a small Coke from the freestyle choices machine.
According to the company’s Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Patrick Schwing, customers are very excited about the new rewards program. He believes that guests see the value of the new rewards program and they have become even more loyal than before. Zaxby’s has always had loyal customers because of the quality and taste of the chain’s food but things have only gotten better with the new program.
