The Colcom Foundation’s Mission
Cordelia S. May founded the organization in 1996 at the age of 68. She gave the foundation a mission which is still in effect today. Today, Colcom Foundation still receives funding to offer grants to other organizations. She had a great deal of respect for the balance of nature and the environment. She also expressed strong concerns of how she felt the world is affected by that imbalance. It was in 1952 that she developed an interest in family planning and the quality of life. She believed the right type of family planning could reduce overcrowding in time.
