Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was born in March of 1982 in the state of Ohio. In high school, he played every sport available to him and became the team captain in each one. Football was the sport he really triumphed in. He set state records and was named player of the year. In 2001 he began his college career. He set just about every record possible scoring 84 touchdowns, he could throw over 3,000 yards, and became the tenth quarterback to throw over 10,000 yards.
He was a first-round pick chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He set another record in NFL history, he came in at fourth place for winning seventy-four of one hundred home games. When it comes to breaking records for the Steelers, he broke the record for making the most passing yards, attempts, completions, and touchdown passes. He is also the youngest quarterback to win the Super Bowl.
Ben Roethlisberger is not just a top-notch athlete; he is also deeply involved in philanthropy. Ben along with his family gives back through their family foundation called rff7. One of the ways that the foundation gives back is by supporting police and fire departments across the country. The foundation also works with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. He has always been very passionate about helping children however he could. Ben has also teamed up with musician Micah Tyler to help provide meals for the homeless. They sold T-shirts and each T-shirt sold provided one meal for someone who was less fortunate.
Ben’s foundation matched each donation given. Ben and Micah had discussed doing charitable work together and it all came together through this cause.
