Gino Pozzo completed his high school education in his home country Italy, and he was lucky to study abroad. Gino learned more about football clubs and business during his studies in the United Kingdom and the United States. He graduated from college and went back to his home country Italy.

His family was running a woodwork family business, and his parents were glad that Gino would bring his experience and insight to the company. However, Gino Pozzo did not want to participate in the family business; alternatively, he wanted to invest in the sports industry. He returned to the United Kingdom, where he continued his involvement in the sports industry. It was in the United Kingdom that Gino married his wife Catalan, and they moved to Barcelona. Gino made his first investment in the football club in Barcelona when he purchased Grenada Football Club. He improved the performance of the club.
