Colcom Foundation Leads Charge To prevent Human Extinction

Founded in 1996, the Colcom Foundation, a non-profit financial corporation operating out of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, sees overpopulation as a leading cause of potential human problems, and thereby, seeks to correct these problems through public advocacy.

The foundation is a member of the International Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations (IFNGO) and the Council on Foundations. Colcom serves as the National Council in North America.

Among the Colcom Foundations’ concerns include:

Family Planning.

The Colcom Foundation eyes family planning as an essential part of reducing stress on our environment. Not only are many individuals born out of wedlock in the United States, but even among married couples, some couples, particularly those from immigrants, often bring or cause to be born in this country, six or more children.

 Excessive immigration

Around 1.5 million people immigrate to the US each year, with many of those being the old, the sick, or those with little education.

In the past, the idea of immigration made sense in the United States, but today, there are relatively few jobs for such immigrants, requiring for the most part, a huge strain on the US and state governments.

Our country, as it moves to the future, does not need so many individuals who either can’t work or only are capable of doing manual labor. Today, even many farm labor jobs are being phased out by new technology.

The Colcom Foundation believes that reducing significantly the number of new immigrants would lead to a substantial reduction in carbon footprints for our environment.

Carrying Capacity

The Colcom Foundation notes that a huge part of the problem is what is known scientifically as carrying capacity. For every additional human, the world must supply lots of resources such as water, food, and shelter.

Back when our nation was formed, we had plenty of resources, so much so, that we even allowed millions to immigrate, in order to take advantage of the resources we had.

Now, the opposite is true. The Colcon Foundation notes that up to 30 percent of our plants, and 18 percent of our animals are becoming extinct.  See this page for additional information.
